Businessperson Bulut Akacan made statements by publishing a video after his father Mehmet Akacan's armed attack.

Expressing that his father was shot in the leg after 5 shots were fired, Akacan blamed the 'Ulucans' family for the horrific incident and argued that the perpetrator of this incident was the Ulucanlar family.

Emphasizing that the Ulucans family sent them threatening messages, Akacan said that they said, "You will give 1 million pounds, or we will shoot your mother, brother or father."

Stating that the threatening messages were given to the police, Akacan said, “We met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia, Ali Murat Başçeri. “These are my villagers,” the ambassador said.

Akacan said, “While I was in prison, they put pressure on the Attorney General's Office and told me to withdraw my case and that they would help. They forcibly withdrawn my case. Now they shot my father 5 times and hit him. We requested protection from the police before, but they refused, saying that they did not have such a work. I am asking our Honorable Ambassador, our elders; If necessary, let's give these people the money they want and get out of this. Our government will not be able to protect us. We have reported this matter to every authority. Previously, these friends fired 10 shots into the restaurant, no one could find them," he said.

Noting that they continue to threaten them by calling them from Turkey, Akacan said, “They openly told us that they are behind the politicians in Turkey and the TRNC. They said that no one could do anything to them and that they would take our lives until we give them this money," he said.

Bulut Akacan said, “The Ambassador said that I made a mistake and plotted against them because I reported them to the police. He had indicated that he would deal with the matter. Let's give this money if our elders want... We are not bandits, that's why we take shelter in the state," he said.

Noting that his father, Mehmet Akacan, may have been disabled, Akacan said, "If even the ambassador can talk like that, there is nothing we can do."
