Polar bear with mouth stuck in box rescued
A polar bear, who hasn't eaten for days because his mouth is stuck in a tin can, has been rescued.
A polar bear was found on Thursday in Dikson, one of Russia's northernmost settlements, whose mouth was stuck in a milk can. The bear, which veterinarians identified as a female, was rescued from starvation. The video of the animal running to the front of a house's porch and seeking help went viral in Russia. The team, who traveled 2,730 km from the Moscow Zoo to the polar region of the country, anesthetized the bear and removed the tin can. Veterinarians injected the polar bear, whose tongue was severely damaged, to regain its strength.
