The Meteorology Department has issued a warning as temperatures are expected to climb to 39°C.

According to the weather forecast report, the region will be generally affected by a low-pressure system, resulting in warm and relatively moist conditions on the first day, followed by hot and dry weather for the rest of the period. 
The highest temperature will be around 32-35°C on the first day for inland areas and 28-31°C on the coast, with temperatures set to rise up to 36-39°C in inland areas in the following days. Moderate winds are expected from the north and west direction but might occasionally become strong.
