Fire in Creek Bed Extinguished in Göçeri

A fire that broke out in a creek bed in the village of Göçeri yesterday has been extinguished by firefighting teams.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, on September 21, 2023, at around 16:30, a fire occurred in the creek bed in the Keçili Ovası area of Göçeri village. As a result of the fire, approximately 1 donum (about 1,338 square meters) of stubble, 20 hawthorn trees, and a 50-meter-long water hose were damaged.

The fire has been extinguished by firefighting teams, and an investigation is ongoing.

Suspects Using Detectors Found to Illegally Search for Antiquities in Their Vehicle

During a vehicle search conducted in Esentepe, it was determined that the suspects who were arrested for having two detectors in their possession without permission were illegally searching for antiquities.

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, in the advanced investigation conducted regarding the incident of "Possession of Detectors Without Permission" that occurred in Esentepe on September 20, 2023, it was found that the suspects, 38-year-old K.B. and 24-year-old M.D., used the two detectors in their possession to search for antiquities without permission in the southern part of the Alagadi region in September 2023.

The mentioned individuals have been arrested, and the police investigation is ongoing.

Theft in İskele: 3 Individuals Arrested in Connection with the Theft of Iron Cutting and Bending Machines from a Construction Site

In an incident that occurred in İskele, three individuals suspected of stealing iron cutting and bending machines from a construction site have been arrested.

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, within the scope of the advanced investigation conducted regarding the theft of two iron cutting and bending machines from a construction site in İskele and from an individual's property in Topcuköy on August 31, 2023, and between September 20-21, 2023, three suspects, 36-year-old S.N., 42-year-old R.B., and 37-year-old H.A., were arrested in connection with the incident.

The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Bus Driver Robbed After Argument: Suspects Steal Bag and Money

In an incident in Gazimağusa, two suspects were arrested for stealing a bag and 30,000 TL in cash from a bus driver after an argument.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, it was determined that H.T.T. (50 years old) and N.T. (53 years old) had stolen a bag belonging to the bus driver, which contained 30,000 TL in cash, from the driver's seat of the bus following an argument between them and the bus driver in Gazimağusa around 15:30 yesterday.

The suspects have been identified and arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
