Unlicensed Practitioners Arrested for Illegal Aesthetic Procedures
In a joint operation between the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association and the police, individuals conducting illegal aesthetic procedures without a medical license were arrested in Lapta on November 11th.
These individuals, who came to the island from abroad and were not licensed medical professionals, were applying medical procedures such as fillers and botox on patients in a rented house.
Following a raid, they were arrested and taken to Lapta Police Station.
The Cyprus Turkish Medical Association emphasizes the legal restrictions on non-licensed individuals or unregistered medical practitioners conducting medical procedures, emphasizing the risks they pose to public health, and announces that they will continue to work in collaboration with the police to combat such practices.
