Record-Breaking Passenger Arrivals in South Cyprus in October
It has been reported that there was a record-breaking number of passenger arrivals at airports in South Cyprus in October.
According to Fileleftheros, the reason for the record in passenger traffic is attributed to an increase in tourist arrivals, as well as an increase in those fleeing the conflict in the Middle East and those going to the region to "fight."
According to information on the website of the Cyprus airport operator "Hermes Airports," the number of arriving and departing passengers in October of this year reached 1,248,943. This figure is 13.6% higher than last year's number and 4.2% higher than the record year of 2019 in passenger traffic.
According to the same source, the total number of arriving and departing passengers in the country for the first 10 months of this year reached 10,278,829.
