81st Golden Globe Awards Winners Announced: Oppenheimer and Succession Take Top Honors

The Golden Globe Awards, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) and held annually to honor the "best" in the world of television and cinema, found its winners through a ceremony held in the early hours in the United States.

The 81st award ceremony, hosted by Jo Koy, featured Oppenheimer as a standout, receiving awards in the drama category for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, as well as Best Director and Best Music.
Barbie, a film that sparked the debate "Barbie or Oppenheimer," won an award in the "Best Song" category. Billie Eilish O'connell and Finneas O'connell received the award for the best original song for their song for Barbie.
Meanwhile, Lily Gladstone, who won an award for the Martin Scorsese-directed film "Killers of the Flower Moon," delivered her acceptance speech in the Blackfeet language. Gladstone, who won the Best Actress award in the drama category, became the first Native American to do so.
In the world of cinema, another highlighted film of the night was "Poor Things," directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Emma Stone, with her role in the film, received the award for Best Actress in the musical/comedy category.
ON TELEVISION, 'SUCCESSION' PREVAILED
In the television category at the 81st Golden Globe Awards, the fourth and final season of Succession took the spotlight, with Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin winning Best Actress and Best Actor awards in the TV drama category.
Succession led the nominations with a total of nine, including Best Drama Series.
