Midterm Break Begins on February 1st

According to the Ministry of National Education, the first semester of the academic year in primary education schools affiliated with the Directorate of Primary Education will end with the distribution of report cards and completion certificates on Friday, June 14.

For secondary schools affiliated with the General Secondary Education Directorate and the Vocational Technical Education Directorate, the 2023-2024 Academic Year will conclude with the distribution of report cards on Tuesday, June 11.

Make-up exams and remedial exams will take place between June 12 and June 21.

"125 Schools Educate 26,577 Students in Primary Education"

In primary education schools affiliated with the Directorate of Primary Education, both public and private, 26,577 students are enrolled. There are 25,079 middle school and high school students studying in 48 schools affiliated with the General Secondary Education Directorate, both public and private.

The Vocational Technical Education Directorate oversees 12 schools with 3,894 vocational high school students. Additionally, around 400 students receive education in Apprenticeship and Adult Education Centers. Throughout Northern Cyprus, 6,187 teachers serve in public and private schools.

"First Stage of College Entrance Exam on Saturday"

The first stage of the College Entrance Exam (KGS-1) will take place on Saturday, while the second stage (KGS-2) is scheduled for June 8.

The Placement Exam for Bülent Ecevit Anatolian High School (BEAL) and 20th July Science High School will be held on June 22. The Entrance Exam for Nicosia Anatolian Fine Arts High School will take place on June 20-21.

Moreover, applications for Vocational High School Programs for students who have completed the 8th grade will be accepted from June 20 to June 25. The results of the placement for the 9th grades of vocational high schools will be announced on June 26.
