Üstel Thanks Aliyev for Inviting Tatar to TDT Informal Meeting in Shusha
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for inviting President Ersin Tatar to the Informal Meeting of the Turkic Council (TDT), planned to be held in Shusha, the symbolic city of Karabakh, in July. Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, during his visit to Azerbaijan to hold talks, also paid visits to the martyrs' memorials.
Üstel visited the grave of the late Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev, and later proceeded to the Martyrs Alley, where the graves of the January 20 Martyrs are located, to lay flowers. He also visited the Baku Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery, accompanied by KKTC Baku Representative Ufuk Turganer and Azerbaijani MP Ramil Hasan.
Following his visit, Üstel stated to the press that he was in Baku as a guest of Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP). Referring to the cooperation protocol signed between the ruling parties of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the TRNC some time ago, Üstel mentioned that during his meetings in Baku, they would discuss cooperation not only between the ruling parties but also in terms of economic, educational, and tourism sectors among the three countries.
Üstel expressed his gratitude for President Aliyev's invitation to President Tatar to the TDT Informal Meeting planned to be held in Shusha in July, stating, "President Aliyev's invitation to President Ersin Tatar has made us very happy. I once again thank him for this kind invitation. I believe that our work within the TDT will be better and more efficient in the future, and we will further strengthen our ties, both economically and in terms of education, tourism, and cultural relations."
