Strike at Ercan Airport Postponed for 60 Days

The strike at Ercan Airport has been postponed for 60 days following the announcement by Cem Kapısız, the President of the Air Traffic Controllers Union (HTKS), that they would go on strike. The Council of Ministers has decided to postpone the strike initiated by the Air Traffic Controllers Union at Ercan Airport for 60 days.

With the decision published in the Official Gazette and put into effect, the strike at the Air Traffic Control Branch Directorate at Ercan Airport has been lifted due to the disruptive nature of the strike on essential civil aviation services.
HTKS President Kapısız had announced earlier today that they would be on strike at the Ercan Tower Control section from 19:30 today until 08:30 tomorrow.
