Guterres-Holguin Meeting Anticipated This Week

According to Fileleftheros newspaper, under the headline "Moves in the Shadow of EP Elections," the meeting will focus on Holguin's insights from her engagements with involved parties and stakeholders in Cyprus. The report suggests that, from the Greek Cypriot perspective, minimal progress is expected amid the backdrop of the European Parliament elections. Meanwhile, the Turkish Cypriot side appears less concerned with what Holguin will report to the Secretary-General.

The Greek Cypriot administration is in a waiting position regarding the Guterres-Holguin meeting. They are keen to see how Holguin will relay her observations from her three rounds of discussions in Cyprus and the three guarantor countries. They also await Guterres’ intentions for advancing the Cyprus issue in the coming period.
