Water Supply Disruptions Across the TRNC Due to Geçitköy Pump Station Malfunction
The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has announced that due to a malfunction at the Geçitköy Pump Station, water supply disruptions will occur nationwide starting from 8:00 AM today.
In a written statement, the Ministry explained that the disruption is a result of an issue at the Geçitköy Pump Station, which is part of the Water Supply Project.
The statement noted that repair work will commence tomorrow, during which time water supply to the entire Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will be halted.
"Until the repairs are completed, water will be supplied from our local drinking and utility water sources. It is crucial that our citizens use water consciously and sparingly during this period. Necessary information will be provided to the public and municipalities through the press throughout this process," the statement emphasized.
