Speaking on the "Sabah Postası" program on Kıbrıs Postası TV, hosted by Gökhan Altıner, Nazım Çavuşoğlu remarked that the government has a good track record in supporting production. He pointed out that minimum wage earners struggle to afford meat, saying, "Imported meat will arrive, but production will not stop. If production is harmed, we will compensate for it."

He emphasized that the National Unity Party (UBP) has always been supportive of producers, ensuring the continuity of production, and that the government has no intention of victimizing producers. He reaffirmed their unwavering support for production and declared, "Having tractors and bulldozers doesn't mean you can intimidate the government.",

ÇAVUŞOĞLU RECALLS HIS TENURE AS MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE: "WE IMPORTED MEAT IN 2009"

Nazım Çavuşoğlu, recalling his previous tenure as Minister of Agriculture, said, "I stand with the producers, but I also stand with the consumers." He noted that livestock farmers are concerned about imported meat, recalling that they imported carcass meat during his time in office in 2009, but it did not result in cheaper prices for consumers.

"THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY DEFICIENCIES THAT WOULD BREAK THE COLD CHAIN"

Despite the various support measures given to producers, the public still cannot afford cheap meat. He highlighted that there are no longer any deficiencies that would break the cold chain. Criticizing the livestock farmers' protests as having exceeded their intended purpose, Çavuşoğlu emphasized, "Having tractors and bulldozers doesn't mean you can intimidate the government."
