Thieves Who Stole Lambs in Akıncılar Appeared in Court

Two individuals appeared in court due to the theft of lambs on a farm in Akıncılar. The court ordered one person to remain in custody for 2 days and the other for 1 day.

Ahmet Gezdigeldi, Kemal Özkan, and Ediz Diker, Emre Dolat and İzzet Ertulga were also arrested in connection with the animal theft at the Margo farm in Akıncılar. İzzet Ertulga was charged with accepting stolen goods, while Emre Dolat faced charges of "breaking into a barn, stealing animals, theft, intentional damage, and trespassing" and appeared in court yesterday morning.

THEY WERE FOUND TO HAVE TAKEN 30 LAMBS AND A CAMERA RECORDING DEVICE

Police officer Soner Şaban, stationed at the Demirhan Police Station, presented the facts in court. The police officer stated that between May 25 and June 4, 2024, around 23:50, Kemal Özkan, Ahmet Gezdigeldi, Ediz Diker, and Emre Dolat entered the dairy farm owned by Y.P. in Akıncılar, loaded 30 lambs into a vehicle, broke the barn lock to enter, and also took the camera recording device before leaving.

COURT ORDERED DETENTION...

The police officer explained that the suspects Kemal Özkan and Ahmet Gezdigeldi fled with the ET 598 plate vehicle but were apprehended as a result of the pursuit conducted by the son of the landowner and the teams from the Demirhan Police Station. The police officer stated that the suspects threw the lambs out of the vehicle while attempting to escape. The police officer reminded that Ahmet Gezdigeldi and Kemal Özkan appeared in court on June 8, and 3 days were granted for investigation. The police officer also mentioned that Ediz Diker appeared in court on June 9 and was ordered to remain in custody for 2 days. Furthermore, the police officer stated that the fugitive Emre Dolat surrendered to the Demirhan Police Station on June 9. The police officer said that the suspect İzzet Ertulga accepted stolen 4 lambs, valued at 40,000 TL, below market price for 18,000 TL. The police officer requested that Emre Dolat be detained for 1 day and İzzet Ertulga for 2 days, emphasizing that the investigation was ongoing.

After evaluating the testimony before her, Judge Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç ordered İzzet Ertulga to remain in custody for 2 days and Emre Dolat for 1 day.
