Aykut, known for the Caesar Resort project in Iskele, was arrested on June 7. According to Haravgi, police sources indicate that the charges involve the sale and misappropriation of properties valued at over 40 million euros.

The Nicosia District Court in south has officially filed the charges, with the primary trial set for September 9. The court will decide tomorrow if Aykut will remain in custody until the trial date.

The newspaper also noted that Aykut's two sons are wanted in connection with the case. Fileleftheros reported that Aykut's lawyers, Rikkos Mappuridis and Maria Neofitu, argued that Aykut is not the owner of the company in question, as he had transferred his shares to one of his sons. They also claimed that the company bank cards in Aykut’s possession were used for expenses related to an intended trip to Israel, covered by his son.
