The scandals at Ercan Airport, managed by T&T under the ownership of Emrullah Turanlı, continue to escalate.

Tuğcu emphasized the appalling conditions they witnessed during their visit to Ercan Airport, where temporary electricity is currently provided. He stressed the necessity for architectural and electrical projects to ensure permanent electricity, noting the absence of both at Ercan. Tuğcu pointed out that the responsible contractor abandoned the project, leaving the responsibility now with the Kıb-Tek Board of Directors.

Describing the scene as heartbreaking, Tuğcu underscored the severity of the situation, likening it to a crisis larger than the Cyprus issue itself. He disclosed that following a protest at Meriç Transformer Center last week, they visited Ercan Airport and were astonished by what they saw.

Moreover, Tuğcu stated that the contractor responsible for Ercan Airport's electrical works fled after not receiving payment, placing full responsibility on Dalman Aydın, Managing Director of Kıb-Tek, and the Board of Directors. Tuğcu also highlighted the dangerous state of electrical cables lying on the ground submerged in water, backed by photographic evidence.

Despite attempts to communicate with T&T regarding their debts post-protest, Tuğcu reported no progress, with the outstanding debt remaining at 92 million Turkish Liras.

This ongoing situation at Ercan Airport underscores significant operational and safety concerns, demanding urgent attention from responsible authorities.
