Tatar Discusses Candidacy: Preparations Underway, Health and Mind Intact

Tatar reiterated that the Greek Cypriot side had previously walked away from negotiations and that there is no point in returning to the table after so many failed attempts. He recalled that he had proposed sovereign equality even before his election. In his interview with Erçin Şahmaran on Kıbrıs Postası TV, Tatar emphasized the need for direct flights, direct contacts, and direct trade, stating these should be implemented before any further negotiations.

President Tatar stressed the need for caution, citing past presidents whose negotiations ended in deadlock. He asserted the necessity for a new negotiation technique.

Tatar announced an upcoming visit to the United Kingdom. Reflecting on his past visits, Tatar noted that he consistently conveyed his messages, which were heard and acknowledged.
