According to Alithia newspaper, Christodoulides emphasized that Southern Cyprus plays a central role in humanitarian aid operations and the evacuation of civilians.

Christodoulides stated, "I want to tell the Turkish Foreign Minister that Cyprus is the center of operations for humanitarian aid, supported by the international community." He also noted Southern Cyprus's role as a center for operations, including the recent evacuation of civilians.

Acknowledging the challenges in Turkey recognizing the role of the Greek Cypriot administration at an international level, Christodoulides accused Fidan of attempting to provoke conflicts with his statements.

Christodoulides added, "We will not intervene. We are part of the solution, not the problem, not in words but in practice."

Furthermore, the Greek Cypriot Foreign Ministry condemned Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan's statements, describing them as provocative and criticizing Turkey's military presence in Cyprus for the past 50 years as illegal. The Ministry affirmed its commitment to regional security and denounced Turkey's stance.
