During today's court appearance, Police Officer Fırat Uğuroğlu provided testimony regarding the incident. He stated that on June 22, 2024, around 01:30, the suspects seriously assaulted L.K. on the street, causing damage by tearing his black shirt. They also committed robbery by taking his cellphone and SIM card, according to police reports presented in court.

The officer further informed the court that based on the suspects' initial statements, Enes Şahan and Ali Karapaşa admitted leaving the stolen cellphone in custody at a barbershop in Nicosia. The phone was subsequently identified and seized as evidence.

Police conducted a search at Ali Karapaşa's residence based on their statements, locating the clothes worn during the incident and a vehicle with license plate FA 006, all of which were seized as evidence. Officer Uğuroğlu confirmed the completion of the investigation and requested that the suspects be released on bail as determined appropriate by the court.

After reviewing the testimony, Judge Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç ordered that Enes Şahan and Ali Karapaşa be released pending trial under the conditions of a travel ban, each posting bail of 70,000 TL in cash, with two credible Turkish Cypriot guarantors signing surety bonds worth 700,000 TL each. They are also required to report to the nearest police station weekly.
