Two individuals were injured in an accident on the Kyrenia-Nicosia road, involving a car rear-ending a motorcycle. The car driver has been arrested following the incident.

According to information provided by the police, the accident occurred around 22:00 yesterday. Güney Özağaçhanlı, a 21-year-old male, was driving a sedan with license plate GM 257. While switching from the right lane to the left lane on the Kyrenia-Nicosia road, he collided with the rear of a motorcycle, license plate US 945, driven by Kurtuluş Tatar, a 26-year-old male, who was traveling in the same direction.

As a result of the collision, the passenger on the motorcycle, Seyide Abu El Afiye, was seriously injured and is currently under observation in the intensive care unit at Kolan Hospital. Kurtuluş Tatar, the motorcycle driver, is also under observation at Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.

The driver of the car, Güney Özağaçhanlı, has been detained by the police as the investigation into the accident continues.
