Northern Nicosia Bypass Road to Be Completed Soon, Says Turkish Ambassador

Taking to his social media account, Ambassador Feyzioğlu stated that vehicles traveling from Famagusta to Girne will no longer need to pass through Nicosia via Gönyeli Roundabout. He highlighted that areas like Alsancak, Lefke, and Lapta will be more accessible, easing traffic congestion and alleviating the heavy traffic burden at Gönyeli Roundabout during peak hours.

Feyzioğlu emphasized meticulous work in completing each expropriation file and confirmed that expropriation costs were covered by Turkey. The road and intersection tender were conducted by the General Directorate of Highways, showcasing disciplined and outcome-oriented teamwork that led to this stage.

Acknowledging the efforts of various officials and colleagues, including Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Prime Minister Üstel, Transport Minister Arıklı, Undersecretary Enver Öztürk, Erol Öz from the KEI Office at the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, and the entire team, Feyzioğlu expressed gratitude for their dedication in achieving this significant infrastructure milestone. He concluded by thanking everyone involved for their contributions to this important project.
