Ada Kafa Breaks Northern Cyprus U16 800-Meter Record
Ada Kafa, competing for Yüksel Sports Club, set a new Northern Cyprus U16 800-meter record at the Clubs Under 16 Turkish Athletics Championship held in Ankara on June 26-27. With a time of 2:21.99, Kafa secured third place in the event.
Ada Kafa's coach, Hasan Maydon, expressed pride in her achievement, stating, "Ada had been close to breaking the record previously, and today she has made us proud as the record holder for Northern Cyprus Athletics Federation." Maydon added, "I foresee many more successes for my athlete."
Ferhat Sakallı, President of the Northern Cyprus Athletics Federation, commented, "I knew our athlete training in indoor sports halls on stormy winter days would be very successful." Sakallı congratulated Ada on breaking the U16 800-meter record and expressed his wish for continued success.
