This meeting comes ahead of Stewart's briefing to the UN Security Council at the UN Headquarters in New York, as reported by Haravgi. The meeting with Christodoulides is scheduled for 16:00 today, with a planned meeting with President Ersin Tatar tomorrow, according to Alithia.

According to Alithia, Deputy Government Spokesperson Yannis Antoniou was asked about reports suggesting that the UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy, Maria Angela Holguin, has presented a proposal that could alter the framework of the Cyprus issue. Antoniou referred to President Christodoulides' briefing to the Greek National Council, indicating the significance of the upcoming discussions.

Regarding the issue of opening new crossing points between the TRNC and South Cyprus, the Turkish side has been accused of rejecting the opening of barriers in Gaziler and Erenköy while promoting Haspolat.
