As in previous years, a team of young personnel is conducting clean-up operations aimed at maintaining the cleanliness of beaches and enhancing environmental consciousness. This annual summer activity aims to contribute to environmental cleanliness.

The clean-up activities, conducted in Gazimağusa, İskele, Yeniboğaziçi, and Tatlısu beaches, involve five groups across four regions performing twice-daily cleaning sessions in the morning and evening.

Specifically targeting crowded beach areas, the Gazimağusa team is cleaning between Palm Beach and Devran Beach, as well as Glapsides Beach. The Yeniboğaziçi team focuses on the Salamis Hotel area and Yeniboğaziçi Public Beach. Meanwhile, İskele and Tatlısu teams are active in public beach areas.

Despite the presence of garbage bins, it has been observed that waste is often left scattered, especially in the evenings when more trash accumulates during cleaning sessions.

These clean-up efforts serve as an example and emphasize that environmental cleanliness is a collective responsibility of the community, aiming to make the public more aware and responsible towards maintaining a clean environment.
