The Universal Patients' Rights Association (UPRA) has developed a mobile application under the Healthcare Rights Monitoring Project, funded by the European Union under a program aimed at the Turkish Cypriot community.

The application, named the Patient Monitoring Platform (PMP), aims to report healthcare rights violations and provide solutions.

According to information from the Patients' Rights Association, this innovative application allows for the quick and easy reporting of rights violations encountered in healthcare services, aiming to enhance patient satisfaction and healthcare service quality.

According to UPRA, the application features include ease of use, instant notifications, privacy and security protections, feedback mechanisms, bilingual support in Turkish and English, and sections detailing addresses and contact numbers of healthcare institutions along with 14 fundamental patient rights.

Emete İmge, President of UPRA, stated regarding the application, "Through our public opinion research, we know that patient rights are frequently violated in healthcare services. Our association has launched the PMP application to amplify the voices of those experiencing violations of patient rights and to promote the protection of these rights. The PMP application, a first in our country, is an important tool for safeguarding patient rights and improving healthcare services."

İmge further explained that anyone utilizing healthcare services can now easily and securely report violations of patient rights through the application, whether during routine health checks or throughout the investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses.

Encouraging everyone receiving services from public and private healthcare institutions to use the PMP application, İmge highlighted that the app is available for free download. She invited anyone interested in reporting healthcare rights violations and taking steps towards better healthcare services to utilize the PMP application.
