Minister Yerlikaya stated on social media, "Following the heinous incident in Kayseri, provocative actions targeting Syrians were carried out in some cities across our country last night."
474 DETAINED
"Following provocative actions carried out through illegal means, 474 individuals have been detained," Minister Yerlikaya said, adding:
"It has been determined that 285 of them have criminal records for various offenses (human trafficking, assault, drug offenses, robbery, theft, property damage, sexual harassment, fraud, counterfeiting, threats, insult, deprivation of liberty, etc.)."
APPEAL FOR RESTRAINT
Yerlikaya called for restraint in his statement: "Let's not fall for provocations. Let's act with restraint. Let's not commit crimes by harming people, the environment, and property through illegal means. Our state is strong. Those who plot these schemes against our state and nation will receive the response they deserve."
