South Cyprus Prepares for Direct Flights to the USA
President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, has initiated discussions with an American airline company to establish direct flights between South Cyprus and the United States. This significant development was announced during the general assembly of the Cyprus Hotel Association (PASIKSE).
According to a report by Fileleftheros titled "Direct Flights to the USA?", President Christodoulides mentioned that a representative from an American airline is currently in South Cyprus to explore the possibility of direct flights.
"The airline representative is here to look into the issue of direct flights. There is an ongoing study, and while I can't disclose further details, including the name of the airline, this initiative is in progress," Christodoulides stated.
This move, if successful, would mark a substantial enhancement in the connectivity between South Cyprus and the United States, potentially boosting tourism and economic ties between the two regions.
