Road Closure from Metehan Roundabout to Ortaköy Causes Severe Traffic Congestion

The LTB had announced that the road from Metehan Roundabout to Ortaköy (Civil Defense Roundabout) would be closed from today as part of the Presidential and Parliamentary Campus road and infrastructure development project. The closure is limited to the direction leading to Ortaköy.

With the road closure in effect, heavy traffic jams have ensued in the area. Significant congestion is being reported, particularly on the route from the Prime Minister’s traffic lights towards the hospital, in front of Vedat Benzinci in Ortaköy, Dereboyu, Metehan, and the road before Paşa Hotel, all affected by ongoing road and sidewalk works. This has made commuting extremely difficult for drivers.

Morning and evening rush hours have been particularly problematic, causing major delays for those trying to get to work on time. The severe traffic has become a significant issue for the city's residents.
