On Mustafa Çağatay Street in Kyrenia, around 08:30 yesterday, Özüm Yüksel, 45, was driving eastbound in vehicle plate NB 808, when due to carelessness he lost control of the vehicle, hitting sidewalk stones on the left side of the road, then further striking a tree, police said.
According to police, Özüm Yüksel, the driver injured in the accident, was taken to Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where he was placed under observation in the Chest Surgery ward due to a sternum fracture.
The investigation is ongoing.
