Erdoğan Announces: We Will Visit TRNC with Devlet Bahçeli
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that he will visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
Regarding whether he will visit TRNC with the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Özgür Özel, Erdoğan responded, "We offered them to go together to TRNC once. They announced they will go with their own planes following our offer. At this point, we will go to TRNC with MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli."
Erdoğan answered questions from journalists on the plane returning from Astana.
Regarding the events in Syria, Erdoğan stated, "We may extend an invitation to Mr. Putin and Bashar al-Assad. If Mr. Putin can visit Turkey, it could be the beginning of a new process."
Regarding the controversy over national footballer Merih Demiral's "grey wolf" gesture, Erdoğan said, "The whole issue will be clarified on Saturday."
Erdoğan also added, "We need patience regarding inflation."
