Hasipoğlu emphasized the historical coincidence of the Greek Coup in Cyprus and the treacherous attempt in Turkey on the same day, expressing reverence for all martyrs who sacrificed their lives without hesitation to defend their homeland, state, and flag, and gratitude to the veterans.

Milletvekili Hasipoğlu stated:

"It is a strange twist of history that the Greek Coup in Cyprus led by Nikos Sampson and the treacherous attempt in Turkey coincided on the same day. The Greek Coup aimed to turn Cyprus into a Hellenic island, paving the way for the Happy Peace Operation on July 20, 1974, which not only secured peace and tranquility for the Turkish Cypriots but also for the Greeks."

"In the historical process, on the night of July 15, 2016, although not directly related to the island of Cyprus, an attempt was made to stab our homeland Turkey's stability with a dagger. The democratically elected President Erdoğan was targeted, and an attempt was made to turn Turkey away from its path to becoming a global power and return it to dark days."

"But... The Turkish people thwarted this vile attempt by standing steadfast, sacrificing martyrs, and defending their homeland, freedom, and future."

Hasipoğlu highlighted that Turkey's struggle that night set a remarkable example, expressing belief that Turkey's global power and its ability to influence world diplomacy will soon lead to historic steps for the future of the TRNC. He extended his congratulations on the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
