Beware of Scams: Fake Websites Mimicking Kıb-Tek's Site Detected
Kıb-Tek has alerted the public about fraudulent websites created by copying the appearance of the institution's official site for the purpose of scams.
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kıb-Tek) disclosed that several fraudulent websites have been set up with the appearance of their official site, urging people to verify the website address before making payments.
In their statement, Kıb-Tek emphasized, "The official payment site of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority is https://online.kibtek.com. Some fraudulent sites have been created by placing sponsored ads on Google search and copying the appearance of our website for the purpose of scamming. Please do not trust such sites and ensure to verify the address of the website where you intend to make payments. Relevant complaints have been filed against these fraudulent websites with the appropriate authorities."
