Weekly Fire Report: 18 Fires Cause Total of 229,650 TL in Damages

According to a report released by the Police General Directorate covering the period from July 8 to July 14, a total of 12 fires and 18 special service incidents were recorded in the country. The report indicated that these incidents resulted in a combined damage totaling 229,650 TL.

The report detailed the possible causes of the fires during the same period, listing "electrical short circuits, gas leaks, coffee grounds accumulating in chimneys and igniting, improperly extinguished cigarette butts, and sparks from machinery igniting dry grass" as reasons.

Special service incidents included "rescuing cats trapped in vehicle engine compartments and house roofs, ensuring road safety, rescuing dogs trapped in water wells and tanks, intervention in natural disasters, extricating individuals trapped in vehicles due to traffic accidents, and facilitating hospital transfers for individuals involved in criminal investigations."

The Police General Directorate emphasized the importance of fire safety measures and urged the public to take precautions to prevent such incidents.
