According to Haravgi newspaper, which published an article titled “Greek Diplomatic Sources Speak of Absolute Preparedness on the Cyprus Issue,” these sources provided their assessment of the situation.

The sources emphasized that the Cyprus issue is the top priority for Greek foreign policy and that the current stage offers a chance to restart discussions. They mentioned that Athens is in regular communication with both the Greek Cypriot Administration and Maria Angela Holguin, the UN Secretary-General's Personal Representative, whose mandate they expect to be extended.

Greek diplomatic sources reiterated Greece's unwavering commitment to resolving the Cyprus issue within the framework of UN Security Council resolutions. Regarding Greek-Turkish relations, they noted that dialogue with Turkey is based on a positive agenda and Confidence Building Measures.

The same sources clarified that issues related to the delimitation of maritime zones are not being discussed under any circumstances.

Meanwhile, Fileleftheros newspaper reported that Greek diplomatic sources expect Holguin to continue her role, though it remains unclear whether she will remain as the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Representative or continue in another capacity. The sources also expressed expectations that Holguin, whose term recently ended, will stay on in some capacity.

Furthermore, the sources condemned the "50-year-long Turkish occupation" of Cyprus.
