In a statement on his social media account, Dursun explained that the campaign had reached only 48% of its 900,000 EUR target within the initial 10-day period. He noted that, unfortunately, major capital companies in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) did not provide the expected support, although public support and prayers have been a constant source of strength and comfort.

Mehmet Dursun’s statement is as follows:

“Hello, my life supporters, my dear brothers and sisters...

We have reached the end of our 10-day campaign period and achieved 48% of our 900,000 EUR target. With your incredible support, we have completed nearly half of our goal. I once again deeply felt the compassion and kindness within the Turkish Cypriot community. Thank you all endlessly; you are wonderful.

Due to not reaching our target, we have decided to extend the campaign by 7 more days. We understand that the reason for not completing our campaign within the designated time is the lack of support from large capital companies in TRNC. However, public support and prayers have always been with me since the beginning of the campaign, making me feel safe. Thank you all once again, my life supporters. We are together with our campaign for another 7 days; endless thanks to all of you...”
