Three Injured, Including a Child, in Two Separate Traffic Accidents

Three people, including a child, were injured in two separate traffic accidents on the Famagusta-Nicosia main road and in Kyrenia. The accidents occurred yesterday, according to information provided by the Police Press Office.

The first accident happened around 2:00 AM. A 33-year-old driver, İzzet Dağaştı, under the influence of 156 milligrams of alcohol, was riding a motorcycle with license plate NA 278 in the parking lot of a hotel in Kyrenia. While entering Öğretmen Hamdi Street carelessly, Dağaştı collided with a sedan car, license plate JB 835, driven by Cengiz Alkaya (33).

As a result of the collision, İzzet Dağaştı was injured and taken to Girne Dr. Akçiçek Hospital, where he was diagnosed with fractures in his right cheekbone and nose and is receiving treatment.

Negligence Leads to Accident

The second accident occurred around 2:00 PM on the Famagusta-Nicosia main road. Adıgüzel Yıldız (70), driving a vehicle with license plate RH 693, was heading towards Famagusta when he collided with the rear of another vehicle with license plate MG 391 driven by Galibe İyican Kont (48), who had stopped at a roundabout.

The impact caused MG 391 to be pushed forward, hitting another vehicle with license plate GF 266 driven by Ali Kahraman (19), who had stopped to give way to other vehicles at the roundabout.

Adıgüzel Yıldız and a passenger in his car, Samir İsmail Navruz (7), were taken to Famagusta State Hospital. Samir İsmail Navruz was diagnosed with a fracture in his left leg and received treatment. Both individuals were discharged after their treatment.

The police are continuing their investigation into the accidents.
