Fires Break Out at Two Different Locations in Kyrenia

According to a statement from the police, the first fire broke out around 1:00 PM in Karavas on Ankara Street. The blaze started in the garden of a private residence, likely due to sunlight passing through a transparent plastic panel on a wooden cabinet, which ignited sponge and cloth pieces. The fire resulted in the burning of cloth pieces, sponges, papers, wooden fragments, and old household items inside the cabinet. Additionally, the fire spread to a neighboring residence's wooden garden fence, which, along with a plastic pool in the garden, also sustained damage.

In a separate incident, a fire erupted around 12:30 PM at a market's kitchen on Semih Sancar Street in Kyrenia. The fire was likely caused by a gas leak that occurred while cooking.

Both fires were extinguished by the fire brigade, and the police investigation is ongoing.
