In his message, Prime Minister Üstel highlighted that the 1974 Peace Operation allowed the Turkish Cypriot people to live securely under their own state, within their own borders, and with their own identity. He described the operation as a pivotal moment that changed the course of history, ended oppression and violence, and brought freedom and dignity to the Turkish Cypriots.

Üstel noted that over the past 50 years, with significant support from Turkey, efforts have been made to develop the state, enhance the economy, and overcome unjust pressures and embargoes, aiming to establish the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as a recognized and integral part of the world.

He underscored that July 20 is a reminder of Turkey's legal rights under the Guarantee and Alliance Agreements, which were used to end systematic attacks and genocide attempts against the Turkish Cypriots. It also marks the day when the Greek Junta's attempt to unilaterally annex Cyprus to Greece was stopped.

In conclusion, Prime Minister Üstel affirmed, "As an inseparable part of the Turkish nation, we continue to strengthen our unbreakable ties with Motherland Turkey, enhancing our relations based on mutual love, respect, and brotherhood."
