52 Vehicles Impounded
As a result of traffic inspections conducted across the TRNC, 52 vehicles were impounded. During traffic inspections carried out by police traffic teams across the TRNC, 462 reports were issued for various traffic offenses.
The traffic offenses included 151 for speeding over the legal limit, 6 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 2 for driving without a license and insurance, 20 for not wearing seat belts, 37 for driving without a registration certificate, 12 for driving without insurance, and 2 for dangerous driving.
Additionally, there were 54 instances of using a mobile phone while driving, 10 instances of failing to comply with traffic lights, 13 instances of failing to comply with light regulations, 3 instances of using window tinting, and 152 other traffic offenses.
