Four Fires in One Day!
The police announced that four fires broke out yesterday, one of which involved a vehicle.
According to the Police Press Office, around 11:15 AM yesterday, a fire occurred in the landfill area west of the Teknecik Power Plant in Çatalköy. The fire, which burned dry branches, rubble, and waste in an area of approximately two acres, was extinguished by firefighters.
In Yeşilırmak, around 10:30 AM yesterday, a fire broke out on a plot of land owned by an individual on Şht Nihat Mehmet Street. The fire, extinguished by firefighters, damaged dry grass, three olive trees, one mulberry tree, one pomegranate tree, and one peach tree.
A fire also broke out at the landfill area near the Kumköy water facilities around 1:00 PM yesterday. The fire, extinguished by firefighters, burned waste and rubble in a half-acre area and one electric pole.
VEHICLE FIRE
At around 8:30 PM yesterday, a parked sedan on Şair Can Yücel Street in Kyrenia caught fire. The fire, likely caused by an electrical short circuit, was extinguished by firefighters. The fire partially burned the vehicle's engine compartment.
