The ministry announced that the production and release of the parasitoid insect Tamarixia radiata are ongoing as part of these efforts.

Regular field inspections by experts are being carried out, as stated in the ministry's announcement. The announcement emphasized the importance of integrated pest management, which involves both biological and chemical control methods at different times to reduce pest populations effectively.

The statement highlighted that the current period is suitable for chemical control based on the results of their studies. Farmers intending to use chemical control can refer to the list of approved active ingredients for Diaphorina citri available on the official website of the Department of Agriculture (tarimdairesi.gov.ct.tr).

Farmers engaged in chemical control are requested to inform local agricultural offices to ensure the continued success of the biological control efforts. Additionally, those who have released Tamarixia radiata in their orchards should refrain from chemical treatments for 20 days following the release and maintain contact with local agricultural offices.
