According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, samples of imported and local products collected between July 19 and 25 were analyzed at the State Laboratory and evaluated according to European Union pesticide limits.

The statement detailed that out of 27 samples taken from imported products, 26 were found to be clean. However, a nectarine from Selgün Ticaret Ltd. was found to have pesticide levels exceeding the limit. This product will be either destroyed or returned to its origin at the company’s request.

Among 29 samples taken from local products, 26 were found to be clean. Two samples contained pesticide residues not recommended, and one had pesticide residues above the limit.

Babutsa from Serdarlı resident Murat Tufan and molehiya from Zümrütköy resident Kaffari Çakır were found to have non-recommended pesticides, leading to their destruction.

Tomatoes from Tepebaşı producer Savaş Ozan were found to have pesticide residues above the limit in the third sample collection, resulting in the decision to destroy these products.
