Tragic Workplace Accident at Les Ambassadeurs: Young Man Dies from Electric Shock
A tragic workplace accident occurred at Les Ambassadeurs in Kyrenia, where 29-year-old Lahiru Priyadarshana Perera Kumbukage lost his life after being electrocuted. The incident, which took place around 9:00 PM last night, led to the arrest of one individual on charges of "causing death through negligence."
According to the Police Press Office, Kumbukage was using a jet wash machine for cleaning when he attempted to connect a cable from the jet wash machine, which lacked a plug cover, to an extension cord. During this process, he was electrocuted.
Kumbukage was pronounced dead at the scene, and the exact cause of death will be determined following an autopsy.
The police have arrested M.Ş. (56) in connection with the investigation into the incident.
