According to the police report, the suspects were involved in embezzling funds from Arnet Gıda Ltd., where Perin İzmir worked as a salesperson. İzmir reportedly manipulated receipts and invoices for products sold between 2018 and 2024, diverting the funds instead of depositing them into the company's account. İzmir confessed to the crime on July 18, 2024, and revealed the involvement of five accomplices.

The police reported that İzmir had used the credit cards of Ümit Konugus, Orhan Başarır, Naim Bilgin, Hasan Süner, and Reis Atlas to make payments, which were later canceled. The investigation revealed that İzmir, Konugus, Süner, and Atlas had used their credit cards for transactions that were subsequently reversed.

Evidence including security camera footage from Arnet Gıda and various documents from the suspects' mobile phones is still being analyzed. The police have also requested information from the Land Registry to determine the suspects' assets.

The judge, Jale Ergüden, decided that the suspects should be tried without arrest. They are required to surrender their passports and travel documents, post 100,000 TL cash bail each, and provide two guarantors who will each sign a 800,000 TL surety bond. The suspects must also report to the nearest police station once a week.
