RoC Seeks Four Murder Suspects Including Turkish Cypriot

The Republic of Cyprus (RoC) is searching for four murder suspects, one of whom is a Turkish Cypriot. The RoC has sought assistance from Interpol regarding this matter.

The suspects include Panayotis Necati (a Turkish Cypriot), Aleks Burreli (an Albanian national), Sandeep (first name unknown, Indian), and Singh Sarbjit (Indian). Additionally, two members of the international theft ring known as the “Pink Panthers,” Serbian Ivan Milovanović and Montenegrin Goran Milasinović, are also being sought.

According to Politis, Panayotis Necati was sentenced to life imprisonment for premeditated murder in August 2007. He escaped from the central prison three months later with fellow inmate Odisseas Kalanidis. Necati, now 49, is believed to be hiding in the northern part of Cyprus under the names Özgür Atakeler or Özgür Özkan.
