The amendment to the Foreigners and Immigration Law is a crucial step towards resolving issues caused by undocumented labor. Under the new law, foreign nationals who incurred penalties within the country after January 1, 2021, or left the country with penalties after this date, can benefit from the amnesty by paying a fine equivalent to one minimum wage and committing to rejoin the workforce.

Applications can be submitted online through the official website of the Ministry of the Interior at www.icisleri.gov.ct.tr. By clicking the Immigration Amnesty button, applicants can ensure prompt processing of their requests. Those applying for the amnesty will be included after necessary security checks are conducted.

Once applications are reviewed by the Immigration Department of the Ministry of the Interior and are deemed not to pose a public safety risk, they will be approved and forwarded to the Ministry of Labor's system for processing work permits.

Applicants approved by the Ministry of Labor must pay a gross minimum wage to the Revenue and Tax Department within 10 days to benefit from the amnesty. If work permit procedures are not completed within 60 days, the previous penalties of foreign individuals will remain.

This approach by the government, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, is expected to have positive impacts on the country's economic and social structure, offering a more secure future.

The amnesty will significantly contribute to reducing undocumented labor and integrating foreign workers into the economy by registering them.

This opportunity for Family Unity and Social Security will greatly support maintaining family integrity. The amnesty will aid in registering undocumented workers, strengthening social security institutions, and providing social security to both workers and their families under the umbrella of these institutions.
