According to Toros, the recent conflict initiated by Hamas on October 7 has escalated into a crisis beyond mere warfare, with approximately 50,000 lives lost and the situation becoming increasingly complex. He highlighted the assassination attempt in Tehran and the ongoing instability, which could potentially lead to a broader conflict.

While Toros acknowledged that the likelihood of war is currently low, he warned that the regional crisis could lead to financial turbulence. He predicted that if conflict occurs, Western Alliance support for Israel’s defense system might be forthcoming, but he noted that any immediate retaliation would likely be short-term.

Toros emphasized the need for a more effective economic and financial strategy in Northern Cyprus. He criticized the current administration for its lack of engagement with international issues and reliance solely on internal matters and relations with Ankara. He condemned this approach as inadequate and stressed the importance of developing a comprehensive national strategy and social cohesion to address global challenges effectively.
