In a written statement, Eylem criticized the arrival of a U.S. warship at Limassol port, arguing that allowing such a presence would imply that the island might be used as a military base. She warned that this could place both the Middle East and Cyprus under significant war threats.

Eylem stressed that the only way to ensure peace, freedom, and security for both the Cypriot people and the broader region is through a collective struggle for peace and resolution. She called for the island to be free of imperialist powers, weapons, and military bases, advocating for its demilitarization.
