Christodoulides: Ready to Join the Negotiation Table
Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides emphasized his readiness to join the negotiation table. Christodoulides stated that he is prepared to engage in negotiations based on the agreed framework and EU principles. He highlighted the necessity of internal unity for the success of efforts regarding the Cyprus issue.
According to a report by the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), Christodoulides stressed that finding a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus problem, leading to the island's liberation, reunification, and the establishment of peace and security, is essential for justice in Cyprus.
Noting that the current situation cannot be the future for Cyprus and its children, Christodoulides remarked, “We remain optimistic for a reunified Cyprus as we deserve.”
Since taking office, Christodoulides has been diligently working towards resuming negotiations and overcoming the stalemate to find a solution to the Cyprus problem.
