Hacıosmanoğlu: "We Are Ready to Support Cypriot Turkish Football in Every Way"

İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, the new president of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), expressed his commitment to supporting Cypriot Turkish football by stating, “Our long-term goal is to lift the embargoes imposed on Cypriot Turkish football. We are ready to provide all possible support to the Cyprus Turkish Football Federation (KTFF) within international football regulations.”

The visit was a significant step in renewing relations between the KTFF and TFF. KTFF President Hasan Sertoğlu met with Hacıosmanoğlu during a courtesy visit at the Riva Hasan Doğan Facilities. Also present were TFF Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz and KTFF Education Committee President and Board Member Hüseyin Ekmekçi. During the visit, both leaders exchanged national team jerseys as a gesture of goodwill.

Hacıosmanoğlu’s Commitment:

Hacıosmanoğlu thanked Sertoğlu for the visit and mentioned plans for a comprehensive visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in October or November, based on Sertoğlu's invitation.

He emphasized, “Our long-term aim is to remove the embargoes affecting Cypriot Turkish football. We are prepared to offer full support to KTFF under international football regulations.”

In the short term, Hacıosmanoğlu highlighted the importance of developing football infrastructure in Cyprus, increasing facilities, and collaborating on youth development programs. He expressed satisfaction with Sertoğlu’s visit and anticipated enhanced cooperation in the future.
